HELLO 2013!

Picture
It's been a crazy last few months and I apologize for being M.I.A. I spent October - December shooting some more work with Tipping Point. And working with them is always a blast! I also had the chance to work on the set of TLC's, 'Randy to the Rescue', while it was filming here in Denver. By the way, Randy was awesome! I look forward to what 2013 has in store for me and feel thankful for the amazing year in film I had in 2012. But I have to say I may take a break from film for a bit to return to the theater.

The Narrows - Starring Sophia Bush and Kevin Zegers

Picture
Just got my hands on some screen shots from the film, The Narrows, that I shot in NYC in 2007. I had a blast on the set and was surprised about how amazing and friendly Sophia Bush was. Sometimes I miss NYC...

But I do love Colorado.

Picture

What a wonderful September...

Picture
Well I just finished shooting a small role today on the film, The Mission. I was instantly intrigued by the script from Definite Productions, an LA/Denver based film production company. I fell in love with it as soon as I read the opening scene. I actually almost fell off the couch when I read it. It's hysterical and I can't wait to see it finished.
(Photo from set on the left- Punk Rocked out!)

I also got a call this week from Tipping Point to come back and re-join their production for a week in October! I am super excited to join the cast/crew again and reprise my role as Nurse Jillian Gray. I had so much fun with them this summer and it's going to be a blast to see everyone again. Hmm...I have a feeling that Fall could turn out to be pretty amazing!

Oh, what a wonderful world...

Picture
It has been one crazy summer! :) I literally just got back from Taos with my family (Photo L to R: Grandma, Sister, Me and Mama). Taos was absolutely beautiful and I fell in love with all the artwork and creativity. I think I could have used a few extra days. But, I did have a very eye opening experience and I think I am ready for my next project.

Finally wrapped Joshua Tree in July. I also wrapped the Tipping Point gig in the beginning of August. I guess now I'll focus on the job. Maybe a few art pieces here and there?

Until next time...Cheers!

Photo: We shot a very critical scene for Joshua Tree last week at Joshua Tree National Forest outside of Mesquite, Nevada. Check us ladies out!

June, you beautiful month, you!

Picture
Joshua Tree is continuing on schedule and it has been just a wonderful experience! We head to Nevada this week to shoot a very important shot and then after that we only have two more weeks of filming! :\ Some new developments...

I have signed with Big Fish Talent in Denver and I'm very excited that I'm (finally) taking the next step with such a reputable agency. I also start filming tomorrow with Tipping Point for about two weeks! I'll share more details as I can. Man, I hope July is this good to me. :) Fe!

Hello June!

Picture
Had a wonderful and event filled weekend and I am not looking forward to Monday morning and the rest of my work week. :\

Had a great time at the Helen McCready, CSA Audition workshop this weekend!  I was so pleased with the feedback I got from her. One thing that really stuck out for me was she asked if I had done a lot of comedy, which I haven't, because I have 'great comedic timing'. I've always thought of myself as a dramatic actress but maybe I should give the comedy thing a try? And when I say try, I mean try outside of my silly SNL satire films I make with my family and friends.

We also wrapped up week three of Joshua Tree! Which is always, an awesome experience. Next up, wedding fun with my wifey's, shooting two days for Joshua Tree and maybe some much needed sleep. :0) ...also, enjoy the photo from this last weekends Denver Chalk Fest! So much fun!

Week Two...

Picture
Just wrapped week two of 'Joshua Tree' and have about five weeks to go! YAY! I could not be any more pleased with everything at this point. The cast and crew are not only fantastic but I really I think this film is going to be absolutely amazing.

Check me and Alex (Monica) out on the left. We wrapped a fabulous scene this weekend and we were asked to graffiti the women's bathroom. We were even asked to be vulgar. Hmm...not sure if it was a good idea to give me such free range. I think the crew is now aware of my Vince Vaughn, brash, un-ladylike mouth... :) I knew it would come in hand someday!

Till next time!

DEMO REEL- 2012

YAY! I finally have my Demo Reel up on the website. It contains clips from some of the films I have done in the last year including, 'Solitaire', 'Gods', 'Algorithm' and the award winning short, 'Me, a Rapist?!'

Take a moment, if you please, and check it out! I had such a fantastic time working on all of the films and I am so proud of each and every one. I also made some amazing friends in the process...so, it's really a win-win situation.

Currently I am hard at work on 'Joshua Tree' (feature) from May to July. I am also trying to survive the chaos at work while feeding my creative need to create constantly. If anyone knows a happy medium...please tell me. Until then, I will just day dream away...

NEW HEAD SHOTS!!!

Picture
Thank you to the always amazing Mauk Photography who did my new headshots in April, 2012 at Washington Park in Denver.

If you don't know who they are, and happen to be in the Denver/Colorado Springs area...hit them up! You will not be disappointed. In the meantime, check out all the photos, HERE!

Love me some Denver Egotist

Picture
I am a huge fan of The Denver Egotist . If you're looking for a career in Marketing/Advertising/Media, and you are in the Denver area, you should definitely check them out.

I've been a huge fan of the site, especially when I was looking for a new job, but today I found something new about the site. If you're an actor/actress in the Denver area you can actually become a member (for free) and download your info/photos to their talent database. Worth a shot...so, let's see if it works. :) Check my page out HERE!

Algorithm - Short Film

Picture
YAY! I just watched the final, finished, verison of the short film, 'Algorithm' today. We shot the film last March in Denver, CO and I have been dying to see the film. I loved the script instantly and really connected to the part of Jessica. Great cast, crew and loads of fun. If you get a chance CHECK IT OUT!

Happy May - Headshot Time!

Picture
Took some new head shots this week-Yippee-with my favorite power couple, Casey & Michael of Mauk Photography. I feel so much better now that it's out of the way. And I highly recommend taking a glance at their work. They're very talented and just so awesome.

I am looking forward to this weekend, I have family in town and our first table read for 'Joshua Tree'. Hopefully, I'll remember to take some pics and post soon. Until then...

Solitaire - Check it out!

Picture
Wonderful news! The short film I did last year, Solitaire by Hans Anderson will be shown this week at The Bug Theatre. This Thursday night, April 19th, 2012, you can check out a bevy of local films including Solitaire. The Emerging Filmmakers Projects is from 8PM-11PM and is only $5 to attend.

3654 Navajo Street - Denver, CO 80211.

Hope I see you all there!

April Showers...bring casting news!

Picture
So, I was just cast in a supporting role in an Independent Feature film shooting here in Colorado this summer. Super excited! Table read is happening this weekend (4/14) and I am beyond excited to get started on YQ studio's, "Joshua Tree". From what I can tell, this is not only an amazing script but I'll be working with a talented crew and cast! Stay tuned! <3

IMDB

Picture
Ok, I have finally caved in and updated my IMDB page. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the heck to write for my Bio. I doubt that,  "Is terrified of revolving doors, Freddy Kreugar and aliens" is going to win me any brownie points. Or, my sincere love of the candy nerds and pepsi.

Hmm...if anyone wants to help me, please let me know! In the meantime, I hope I'm back with good, " I JUST GOT CAST" news! <3

March 2012...Oh my.

Picture

I
feel like so much has been happening and I have been completely out of the loop with everyone. I have been spending my days working, dancing (AGAIN!) and contemplating the next step. I plan on getting back into the swing of acting 'things' again as soon as I can. So, stay tuned... :)

2012 - Oh dear....

Picture
It's been awhile (four months) since I have last written. Sorry. :\ I have been very, very, very busy with life. Funny how that happens...

The hubb's and I finally made the move to Denver. I found an amazing job with amazing co-workers and things are falling into place. I'll get back to acting as soon as things are settled a bit more. Until then, talk to you soon.

Loves- FE

Restaurant Impossible...

Picture
...what an interesting ride that was! :)

I have never been involved with reality television and my first time was very... memorable. :) In a matter of 24 hours we transformed a dying restaurant from a country cafe into to a modern and chic venue. And let me tell you, it looks amazing!

I can't wait to see the episode from 'Sullivan's Grill', scheduled to air sometime in January of 2012. I'll keep you all posted!

FOOD NETWORK...Here I come!

Picture
I am beyond excited to do some Production Assistant work on the Food Network's very own, Restaurant: Impossible.

I'll be shooting the first week of October in Fruita, Colorado. I'll keep you updated with photos and stories from the shoot. And if you don't know much about the show, check the site.

Until then...I'll talk to you soon.

I WON?!

Picture
I literally, never, ever, win anything. And somehow I tend to be surrounded by people (my sister & hubby to name a few) that find money in restroom stalls, on the ground, in their own clean pant pockets. So, you can imagine my surprise when I won Meet & Greet Passes to see one of my fave artists, Michelle Branch.

Not only was the concert AMAZING! But she was as well. Totally down to earth, funny and sweet. My sister and I had a blast and it was a night I will never forget.

Rough Draft Available...

Picture
Hello World!

Back in March of 2011, I shot a short film in Denver called,  'Algorithms'. Here is a the first rough draft of the film. Don't get too excited because there is still some work to be done but  for a first draft I am pretty pleased! Click here to view.

Stay tuned for more info!

That's a Wrap!

Picture
Touching base...

"Don't judge a book by it's cover...

Picture
Tonight we shot the teaser trailer for, "Me a Rapist?", written/directed by Todd Braley.
The feedback I have received thus far on the stills has been interesting...lol. Don't worry ma,
I painted those shiners on! And for those of you concerned about the title. Don't judge until you see the product. The film is completely different from you may have in you mind.

The script is truly amazing and I am looking forward to shooting everything this next month. Thanks Todd! And enjoy the stills...until then,
see you when it's finished! :)

"Hey Felicia...i am going to give you more to do in the film! You f*c*ing rocked it today...
you really took the scared thing to another level "

And the world keeps spinning...

Picture
Wowza, so much has been going on lately. More bad than good but I am getting through it all, as I always have. In short, went to Seattle and San Diego in the past few weeks. Not only did I have a blast but now I am back with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement to get back to work.

Things to look forward too;
1. Music Video shoot in a few weeks. My hubby and I are playing the lead characters who are also lovers. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

2. Decided to audition for a musical here in town. First one in ten years. I haven't sang a note in public since my horrible tonsillectomy in 2003. Which  resulted in loosing my ability to talk for a short period of time. Not to mention I also had to go to speech therapy for three months just to learn how to resonate again. Since then, it's been a challenge singing...but, I'll slowly get there. So, I was cast in Seussical as a bird girl for the Performing Arts Festival. I guess, since I am new to this play, it's apparently a fun role. I'll be a sexy, diva, back up dancing, bird. lol. Just what I love to do...

Money. Money. Money

Picture
Nothing like making $25 for literally two minutes of work. Thank you Luke for calling me to come help with the Home Loan commercial and giving me a five minute break from the mess on my desk.

Now, I return to radio silence...

My favorite part...

Picture
April 2011
I just got to see a sneak peak of the short film, Algorithms!

For a rough cut I am pretty pleased...although it is always weird watching yourself act. Stay tuned for the actual film to be viewed on this site. :)

In the meantime here is a snapshot of me in action...

Life.

Picture
"Life ...is beautiful but it's complicated, we barely make it. We don't need to understand. There are miracles...miracles. " - Vega 4

Life. -sigh- one wild ride. Despite the unbelievable last few weeks today I awoke ready to seize the day. And I did.

Starting out I went to help a friend, Todd E. Braley, with a commerical shoot today for Pantuso's Italian 'Ristorante'. The food is amazing and I can't wait to see how it comes out. Then, shortly after the shoot, I accepted an intense role in a future short film by Todd that I can't wait to shoot. Seriously, wait til you see this film...the script is un-believable. And if you support local arts help him raise money for his next feature film, Silence.  Now, I am going to go relax with the hubbs. :)

USA Today

Picture
Yep, that's me and the handsome hubby on the cover of USA Today, March 22nd, 2011 Edition. A few months ago I was interviewed by them about our short engagement and my wedding website, The Unique, Creative, Hip- Bride to be. Which resulted in our photo right above the future King and Queen of England. YAY!

For any of you that don't know, USA Today is practically the only paper I read. Some may say its because I love the color print or just the Life section itself but none the less this is a dream come true. You can read the article here.

Gods

Picture
I just wrapped 'Gods' here in Grand Junction and what an awesome time that was! The film is the first short film I've shot in Grand Junction, ever. This is a huge milestone for me as I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to drive over any mountains.

The film is the ultimate comedy,  full of intelligent wit, banter and heart. I was the only girl in the cast and at times the only girl on set. Thankfully, I can hold my own pretty damn good in the company of men. Not only did I have a blast working along side Dick (right) and the rest of the crew but working with Todd, Luke and Anders who wrote, produced and directed the film, was a great inspiration.  They truly gave everyone just enough of what they needed to give a stellar performance and have a blast while doing it. As soon as I get a copy of the film in my hands, I'll be posting it here and sharing info with everyone on the screening at KAFM.

Remember support your local artists and creative endeavors or else... :)

Algorithms

Picture
We shot Algorithms this weekend and I had a blast. No one ever likes getting up at 4:30AM for a shoot but this was well worth it. I knew before taking the job that the script was not only unique but interesting, intelligent and honored the truth of the male and female spirit. I really resonated with this character and enjoyed playing Jessica.

I truly enjoyed the crew & cast who were not only very professional but so enjoyable to work with. I can't wait to see the finished project and share that with all of you.

Also, I have to say I am pretty proud that I was able to get in touch with my inner girl before shooting. I actually wore makeup, did my hair and painted my nails. Yeah...be surprised that's a huge stretch for me. Seriously, I can not wait to see this film! Stay tuned....

iPhone...I love you.

Picture
I have fallen in love again...with my iPhone.

I have been waiting, literally, for years for Verizon to offer the iPhone and now that it's here I can't put it down. I sleep with it, go to the bathroom with it (TMI) and even sneak it in between film scenes. I'm even more addicted to TFLN and FML and even FB then I was pre-iPhone. I feel like I am experiencing Christmas, Valentines Day and my birthday all in one. Yay, for me!

Had an awesome day shooting Solitaire in Denver on Saturday. Had three hours of sleep that night before, left GJ at 5AM and didn't get home til 11PM. But despite my lack of sleep we rocked it and I think this film is going to be great. The director is amazing and the writers, cast and crew are great. I'm the only girl in the group and hopefully by the end of the process I am not burping or farting like one of the boys. ;) Guess we'll find out in two weeks when we wrap.

Things to look forward to: Vegas this week, Linkin Park in Vegas, shooting Algorithums in March, wrapping Solitaire, USA Today article will finally be published and some new and exciting surprises. I freaking love 2011.

BACK TO DENVER I GO...

Picture
                                                                                                                                        Feb 2, 2011
Well I was just cast in two more films and I have some re-shoots for "Haus 29." :)

Looks like I will be driving back over the passes this month for 'Solitaire', 'Devil's Messenger' and 'Haus 29'. I am super excited about all these roles and the amazing writers/directors I'll have the pleasure to work with. Luckily, I actually love all the scripts and the characters. Unluckily, I had to turn down some other projects because I ran out of weekends, haha. But none the less I am very excited...

Other things to look forward to this month, Vegas (work & play-sister's 21st B-day), seeing Linkin Park live and visiting with my dear friend Lacey. And quite possibly, "crossing fingers", a big tax refund.

P.S. I plan on going back to "Hole" next time I am in Denver. Beer and Donuts?! Did I just walk into Homer Simpson's dream world?! Love it! (photo above)

OVER THE PASSES

Picture
What a weekend...                                                            January 24th, 2011

Had a few auditions this weekend in Denver. For any non-Colorado residents you need to know that January in Colorado is brutal. Especially when driving over the mountain passes.

This is a photo of the attempt to drive just as I was about to arrive at Eisenhower tunnel. This part of the drive just may be the worst part due to higher elevation and scarier roads. What usually takes me 3.5 hours to drive took me over 5. I also had to say a few 'Hail Mary's' as the car slid in places and I watched the van in front of me almost crash into the median.

...the things I do for acting. I better get at least one of these jobs. ;)

"HAUS 29"

Picture
                                                Short film- Jan 2011

Had a fantastic shoot for 'Haus 29' last night. Haus 29 is a short film directed by Denver's very own Elvis Leon. The cast was wonderful and the set was fantastic. Nothing like seeing an old  building decked out in red lights. It definitely felt like I walked into the Red Light District last night.

In the film I play the lead characters abducted girlfriend who he is on a quest to find. I'll post a video as soon as its done being edited. In the meantime check out my shiner I had to rock for the scene. :) Love it!

"GREASE IS THE WORD..."

Picture

Had to share this photo that an old classmate shared with me on my Facebook wall.

Check me out at the tender age of sixteen, backstage in a production of Grease. I played Cha Cha and loved every second of it. I'll never forget those long nights of rehearsal, crimping my hair, talking through my nose and driving back and forth (1hour total) to dance my butt off.

I love Grease and lord help me, one day I will play Rizzo.

THE COZY KITTEN SHOOT

Picture
Shoot for The Cozy Kitten. Dec 2010

Had a fantastic shoot for The Cozy Kitten today. They sell amazing hair accessories and I had so much fun modeling every piece. The greatest thing about this shoot is I got to work with my favorite photography duo, Mauk Photography. If you are in the Colorado Springs/Denver area hit them up.

Check out their online store or become a fan of their Facebook page . You can view photos from the shoot HERE.

Me...in detail.

Picture
*Felicia Sabartinelli Abeyta
* A cougar. Or a puma. However you want to look at it.
*A Renaissance woman. I participate in theater, dance, writing, painting, collaging, and being an overall creative cheap bad ass.
* I share my bed not only with my amazing husband but with our dog Dagen who weighs about 20 pounds & still somehow manages to take up the entire bed.
* Pepsi is my drug, nerds are my vice and sprinkles are my LIFE!
* I think laughing solves everything.
* I am the ultimate nerd; allergic to everything under the sun, love Sci-Fi, playing board games and modern technology. Betsy asked me to add, "...don't forget your asthma."
*I never pay full price for anything! I love sales & shop 2 seasons ahead.
* I have 3 real fears; 1. Freddy Kreugar. 2. Revolving doors. 3. Aliens.

* I make fun of super girly girls but the truth is I am a scrap booking, book club reading, romantic driven woman with a Vince Vaughn mouth.
* I believe in miracles and I believe in possibilities....
